10K Road Race and 6K Fun Run.

Music in the Garden, an informal musical event at Stuart House, Delf Street with the Becker Palm Court Trio
Entrance Fee £7.50

 

Please bring your own seating. Lavatory facilities are not provided at this event. This event will be held in St Mary’s Church if heavy rain renders the garden unsuitable.

Monday 22nd August

7pm Doors Open for a 7.30pm start

 Festival Fashion Show. Carole Ridley in partnership with Action for Children co-host the first Festival Fashion Show in the Regency Room, Bell Hotel Sandwich.

 

Admission is £10 per person (including a glass of wine) with proceeds donated to Action for Children

Festival Concert : Becker Symphony Orchestra in St Mary’s Church, Sandwich. Tickets £15, includes a complimentary glass of wine.

The programme of music by John Williams and Vaughan Williams as well as the Symphony No 3 by Schumann. There will also be a special performance by the Marlowe Young Musician of the Year 2010 (Hannah Parry) of Sammartini's Recorder Concerto in F . The orchestra will be conducted by John Perkins

 

The Becker ensemble will be augmented by musicians of international reputation and the concert will be played in the beautiful and convenient venue of St. Mary’s Church.

The Secret Gardens of Sandwich at The Salutation will be holding a Summer Sculpture Exhibition showcasing stunning, contemporary, stone sculptures by Canterbury based group Pure Form. Throughout the Festival the gardens will be open from 10am to 5pm.
